Not A Girl, Not Yet A Woman
I admit that this is one of my favorite Britney Spears songs. I love her pouty, raspy voice on this song. It just makes me love her. But, this song is just as true of her today as it was when she wrote it.
Britney you never grew into a woman, but you are no longer a girl. You have stuck in limbo for years now. Something happened to you when you were entering your twenties that caused you to stop growing. You were no longer a girl, about to be a woman, then you just stopped. The rest of your world kept going but mentally you stood still.
Are you afraid of growing up? Are you afraid of losing your fame? Growing up is part of life. Look at the older female singers who are still in the spotlight; Madonna, Celine Dion, Jewel just to name a few. These women had great careers when they were young anf continue that success today.
Britney Spears hun, get back to singing and performing. Grow up and finally turn into the woman your family desperatly needs right now.
